Bulk Billed GP Video Conference Calls
Dr Alan Jones from The Flying Skin Cancer Doctor is now offering bulk billed Telehealth GP appointments via Video Conference!
Book an appointment to have any suspect skin lesions checked, renew a prescription, referral, medical certificate, or have any other medical issue seen to.
If you require an appointment outside the hours provided on the website, please feel free to email admin@theskincancerdoctor.com.au or phone 1300 754 637 to arrange a time which is suitable.
When booking, please ensure your mobile phone number is correct and that you have a mobile phone with a camera, so you can communicate face to face with Dr Alan Jones.
What do I need to do once I have booked?
– You will receive a text message at the time of your appointment requesting that you find a quiet space for your appointment.
– Click on the link in the text message when you receive it
– Accept any prompts asking for access to your phone’s camera
– Accept the incoming call from Dr Alan Jones
The call will be similar to a FaceTime video call however the software used is specifically designed for medical use and is encrypted to protect your privacy.
We will recommence travels as The Flying Skin Cancer Doctor as soon as it is safe to do so. However, until such a time eventuates, please stay safe and take care of each other during this very uncertain time.

Dr Alan Jones – Founder and Director
Dr Alan Jones created The Chermside Medical Centre in 1997 forming one of the largest and most successful training General Practices in Brisbane. Since its inception until its sale to Healthscope in 2012, Alan has been actively involved in Skin Cancer Medicine, continually advancing his surgical skills and was the Principal GP Registrar trainer at Chermside Medical Centre. He has extensive experience in Skin Cancer Medicine in Rural and Remote communities and in recent years he has based himself at Molescan Chermside which is a dedicated Skin Cancer Practice.
Whilst he is away from work, his passion lies in sport. As founder of The Australian Medical Football Team (Docceroos), he is regularly playing soccer for club and country as well as playing A Grade squash. In recent times, he has thrown his hand at surfing, with lots of sun protection of course!
He has undertaken his pilot’s training at the busy Santa Monica Airport in Los Angeles and aims to put this experience to good use out in the bush.
